Just out of interest, aside from the SSO and MIS data sync, what are you after: Database of observations undertaken (date, observer, observed, class/set including year group, subject, class size, SEN count, EAL count, Pupil Premium count) Observer and observed roles linked to school positions such as subject lead, ECT mentor, SLT for cross-trust comparisons Observer to have (temporary) access to prior lesson plans, seating plans, SEN arrangements including EHCPs, recent student work, scheme of work, class baseline data eg. KS2 prior attainment or CAT4 scores, class and student recent results including internal and external (where relevant) Customisable list of 'targets' with a score and a comment for each, eg. Stretch/Challenge, Differentiation, Behaviour, Engagement, Questioning Overall score based on some custom calculation - configurable per school or trust 'Status sequence' for observation (Draft, Under Review meaning contested or more info required, Final Contested, Final Agreed) with an audit trail of messages (link to actions/follow-up) Benchmarking mechanism to compare observation outcomes across departments or schools to ensure consistent standards Dashboard showing patterns and trends across subjects, year groups and key groups like SEN, Pupil Premium, EAL Reports and export to PDF and XLSX Nice to have: Link to safeguarding system to flag or track concerns raised during observations Normalisation feedback for observers to highlight scoring patterns, flag inconsistencies and support moderation Marking review to evaluate the quality of marking and feedback as part of the observation process - presumably 'offline' Link to CPD log and performance management system to connect observation outcomes with professional development

Apologies if this is the wrong forum to post this - perhaps somebody would be kind enough to set me straight on that. We've just released the boarding module for our software suite.

Having done the demo for my colleagues a few weeks ago, they suggested that I create a video of what it does, so here it is. Any feedback gratefully received.

I've been developing some software over the last couple of years that was initially inspired by the limited choice of 'MIS-linked' whiteboard software that was available in lockdown. The software that I ended up using provided some of the features that I wanted but I couldn't tell whether my students were focused (or playing games), I couldn't easily interact with their whiteboards and I wanted them to be able to use my whiteboard as the basis of their notes but also to be able to allow them to annotate / extend my notes alongside their own work in real-time without being laggy. I personally think these features are still appropriate even now that we're out of lockdown - I still don't like facing a roomful of the back of laptops and it also seems very 20th century that I'm still using dry markers on whiteboards and mini-whiteboards in class today - rubbing out my words of wisdom every few minutes. The software has grown a bit since this first idea and includes a few other tools such as a meetings, duties, calendar and so on. I should point out that while this isn't a commercial product at the moment, I've set it up so that it could be at some point if there's enough interest. The issue at my own school is hardware - we have a policy of BYOD but the software doesn't make much sense without a device that has a stylus. The software runs on all modern browsers without anything special installed so iPads, Androids, laptops etc are fine but a stylus is definitely required for the VLE. I'd like to know whether there are one or two innovative / techy schools who might want a look with a view to trialling the software to polish it up. I'm going to run a quick demo in the Easter holidays and I wondered whether there was anyone who might be interested? I already have some ex-colleagues who now work at other schools coming along.

From a teacher's perspective, I think the breadth of data that is considered personal is always an eye-opener. (Informal) assessments done in class with students' names on - personal data. Students' notes who left the school 2 years ago - personal data. Bottom line - shred everything if you can work out who it belongs to. Just my 2p.

It says "Access for all teachers and students" - does it replace my precious handheld whiteboards?
