@shotgunn182, we are also in the same position as you. Upgraded to Window 10 over the summer and now our Sahara GT55MSQ-X is not fully interacting. It detects touch, but to double click you have to keep tapping like daley thompson's decathlon on the Spectrum. Have you had any luck on a supported driver? If we manage to trace one down today I'll post back.

I have been unsuccessful in trying to locate a computer monitor for our reception, our head wants a 'stunning' screen, wires hidden at the back, in some sort of glass and brushed steel... I really would not have thought it would be such a difficult a task to find one that at least meets some of his requirements. Any recommendations for a screen that even comes close to these requirements? David

Hi, We've built a windows 7 machine with bucket loads of software on it for deployment via WDS. Problem is, we've run out of sysprep attempts on it, and don't really want to spend another 5 days building it again from scratch. Any ideas on how to rearm the machine?

I’m trying to setup webdav on our windows 2008 r2 server, (ultimately we would like our schools iPdas to access and save to our server.) I followed this guide: Access Your File Server From Your iPad/iPhone - Spiceworks Community The problem I am getting is it keeps getting to a point where by I'm repeatedly asked for my credentials, then I get this error: 401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. Hello, We've set up RD services on a test server here, all of the roles bar virtualisation installed onto one server. I've setup an application to get the desktop in remote app services. The problem we have is that I get an RD Gateway error on running this application, even if it's run on a client in the internal network. Further complication is that for external users, they are pointing to a forwarding domain name which is not the same as the internal FQDN of the RD server, which I suspect is confusing the certificates which I'm creating from the server. Any help gratefully received!!!!

2 months ago, we brought a new server online to replicate our master... unfortunately the replication could not have gone correctly. It was only until we had the BSOD and restore from backup we realised the corruption. We mainly followed the guides: How to rebuild the SYSVOL tree and its content in a domain The NETLOGON share is not present after you install Active Directory Domain Services on a new full or read-only Windows Server 2008-based domain controller Plus a lot of arsing about. so every thing things seem to be ok.

Sorted this problem, only took 7 hours.

We did try and find out BSOD 'driver_irql_not_less_or_equal'...couldn't resolve this so then ran a restore. Thanks steve21, have gone through that link previously...Ultimately the domain controller cannot establish a connection to the global catalogue server. David

We had a Blue Screen of Death on our server 2 days ago, so we decided to do boot from windows server 2008 r2 dvd and do a system restore from the previous night’s backup. Restore took around 6 hours, restore seemed ok until we checked the events and we got this error: ‘Active Directory Domain Services was unable to establish a connection with the global catalog. Additional Data Error value: 1355 The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. Internal ID: 3200e25 User Action: Make sure a global catalog is available in the forest, and is reachable from this domain controller. You may use the nltest utility to diagnose this problem.’ Event id: 1126 Tried to resolve over the course of several hours, but just couldn’t resolve. So ran a restore over night to a previous months backup, in the hope that we could get the domain back up and running, then we could restore the previous days data backup. But unfortunately after the restore we got the same error. Any help on this would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance David

I get your drift, the only problem is that the address that our network people have given us is simply a redirect to another internal IP address of the RD server, not a FQDN as such. When I put the redirect in, I've redirected to http://servername/rdweb, as it doesn't have a web address, so I really want IIS to kick off remote desktop, and not simply show the IIS welcome screen. It seems that IIS is refusing to acknowledge that RDweb has been installed. Hope this makes sense!

The web address is in this format - http://folders.schoolname.LEAuthority.sch.uk Could I set the redirect up to simply http://rdhserver/rdweb, as if it were in the same network? Hello, We've setup a remote desktop server and a virtual desktop pool on 2008. Everything works fine internally with the address http://RDHSERVER/rdweb, however, we need to make it accessible externally, and by just typing in http://RDHSERVER brings up the IIS welcome page. Our LEA has set up an externally available address which won't countenance sticking the rdweb bit on the end of the address. How can we make RDHSERVER IIS channel all requests through to rdweb?

Faster than SMB. The dns timeout change to smb.conf was a suggestion taken from a Mac forum, and did produce a marginal increase in download speed. Checked the MTU Settings on the card, and it's set to the maximum of 1500.

Wasn't aware that there was anyway to change any aspects of hardware setup in a mac. But then again, they can be a trifle black-boxish, plus we're relative newbies when it comes to mac diagnostics. Any further info would be gratefully received.

Hi there, We have a windows 2008 R2 AD server for file and print running in a school with PCs/laptops plus 50 or so macs (Snow Leopard) connected to it. AD binding and AD authentication works fine for all machines (after maxing out the DNS wait time thingy in one of the plist files for SL). The problem we have is that when we try and open relatively small documents (1 Mb or thereabouts) from the macs, it can take up to a minute to open when connecting over our managed wireless network. Deeply unacceptable. I shudder to think what sort of performance we'd get for anything larger. It seems marginally faster if we connect via cifs, but nothing to write home about. Windows machines work fine over the wireless. Any ideas? Many thanks
