    We're in a bit of a sticky situation here... We are currently using NoMAD for the login screen across our Mac estate. We only installed it last summer to move away from treachurous AD binding. A few months down the line we realised that when staff change student passwords in AD, it won't sync the new password to the local accounts on all the Macs that user has signed into previously. We have looked at a few solutions like JAMF Connect, which advertises a password syncing feature.. but that only works if you change the password using Connect's password utility. There's no way staff will use this, and we can't prevent password changes in AD. This blew a massive hole in the ship! If anyone here has faced this exact situation, please pass on any advice on solutions to this, as I'm a bit stuck for ideas. Following recent renewal of our Jamf Pro license, our reseller managed to do some outstanding negotiations.. and got JAMF Connect included free of charge, so it's there is we want to use it, but still a few hurdles to get over. tried writing a script to do the password sync, but realised we can't be the only organisation with this issue, and there's no need to re-invent the wheel! Any tips, please share!

    If Covid didn't come, I would've had to take the exam.. and I definitely would've failed it for a 3rd time. Lucky they did teacher assessed grades...

    Congratulations! It took me 3 attempts to get a pass grade.... Got a grade 3 on the actual GCSE exam, and had to retake in my first year of college. That sucked, and so did the teacher. did the exam, and failed again. After a few years, I decided to give it another try in September 2019, but then Covid hit. Luckily instead of doing the exam, they did teacher assessed grades and I was miraculously given a 4.. so I'd passed!

    I think we had this issue with Sophos once or twice.. but we moved away from it a few months ago. Going to Sophos was the worst decision we made.. particularly on our Macs. It was always eating away at the RAM, and often crashed randomly and slowed down the machines.

    17 year old thread, and still pretty much relevant. Modern MacBooks are good for cooking on too with their poor heat dissipation.
