Salary - £46,845 - £50,130
Hours - Full Time, 52 Weeks per year
An opportunity has arisen for a professional, knowledgeable and hardworking individual, to join ACET, a forward thinking and rapidly developing multi-academy trust, in the role of IT Network Manager.
The IT Network Manager will ensure that the ICT infrastructure (including all hardware and software), supports the aims of the Trust, and that effective mechanisms are in place to ensure reliability.
S/he will hold responsibility for the development and implementation of a five-year strategy for the improvement of the ICT infrastructure across the Trust, as well as have financial management responsibility for the ICT budget.
The IT Network Manager will ensure the ICT infrastructure maximises the teaching and learning opportunities for all students/pupils.
S/he will lead a multi-site team of ICT technicians, will manage external contracts and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring resources are used effectively in the support, implementation and maintenance of the IT network, reporting to Trustees and Local Governing Bodies on the activity and performance of the ICT function at regular intervals.
Pro-active analysis of current and future ICT requirements, together with identification and specification of a range of appropriate solutions will form a key part of the role.
The post-holder will be overseeing the ICT provision across the Trust, and therefore will need to be flexible in working in working in our academies, which are located in Rotherham, Sheffield and north Derbyshire.
This post will attract a generous holiday entitlement, starting at 29 days per year and rising to 32 days after five years’ service; this is in addition to the statutory bank holidays and a further 3 concessionary days which are allocated during the Christmas school holidays.
