One of the support staff is having a problem opening Word documents with macros in them on one xp macahine. They where working on their login last week but now refuse to open.
When double clicking on a word document with a macro on you get the following message:
Microsoft Word
The document contains macros. Macro language support for this application is disabled. Features requiring VBA are not available. Would you like to open this document read-only?
Click OK then you get this message:
Microsoft Word Security Notice
Word has detected a problem with this file. Opening it may be dangerous.
You should not open this file unless you trust it.
Click Ok Again then you get this message:
Microsoft Word
Word experienced an error trying to open the file.
Try these suggestions.
* Check the file permissions for the document or drive.
* Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space.
* Open the file with the Text Recovery converter.
I have logged into this machine as myself and was able to run the documents with no problems. I have also logged in as a test account and had no problems. I have re-installed office 2010, have checked that VBA tools are installed, enabled macros in word options to allow all macros and have deleted their local profile.
None of these things have worked.
Any help would be appreciated.
