About 7777newgeek

  1. Hi Malbox, Is the start of the summer term the earliest time you could start the migration and training? We are finding that some of the other MIS's we've spoken to, can't onboard us now until after March, which is when our SIMS contract ends, it's making our SLT nervous about switching this year.
  2. Our SLT has been looking at their options as they don't want to be tied in for 3 years without having time to look around. The problem is they don't want to review until the new year and Arbor have an offer for buy now pay later, but you have to decide before the end of 2021 and then you have a 3 year deal from April and Bromcom can give us a 1 year deal but after that it rolls into a 5 year deal. Our SLT just don't feel comfortable with any of these options it feels like everyone is doing the same, has anyone been able to get a 1 year from SIMS?
  3. Ok, good point, but do the other MIS vendors then offer rolling contracts or do they only offer longer-term? If this is the norm outside of what our SLT is used to, then we need to know so we can change the we look at our contracts and procurement.
  4. Hi all, Our SLT aren't sure they want to commit to 3 years, however, we've also spoken to a few of the other MIS providers and they all seem to want to start with a 3 year contract. Is this standard these days or do some offer a 1 year to start with? Also has anyone spoken with SIMS about a 1 year contract? Thanks
  5. I don't think they can afford to, from what I understand Arbor are still running at a huge loss and Scholarpack is the part of the business that makes the profit.
