  1. Wow, totally over thought that! Cheers Norphy, you're a champion. (Just FYI, yes it was a Proxy, and yes putting in the IE Bypass list worked a charm!)
  2. Hi Folks, A bit of strange one, the new curriculum is fast approaching and the head of IT wants to run Usbwebserver V8 However any user of TMG gets the following error; Is it even possible to allow localhost:8080 through? If so could someone point me in the right direction please? Thank you in advance, DJ.
  3. Minecraft Education Edition You can bypass the internet version and host your own maps, saving Student/Staff progress after each session. We run this in two Academies for enrichment successfully. It costs about £300+ but enables a 'Teacher' player so you can moderate the game/chat etc.
  4. Hi All, I'm trying to think of a way of removing all the keys/users in this location; "HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList" but excluding certain admin profiles. Is this even possible? Thanks in advance. DJ.
  5. Done all the User Profiles and removed them out of Reg too.
  6. Hi People, We are currently at the loss with printing in a few of our Academies and wondered if anyone else had come across this issue, or have a fix?: > Brand New build - student logs on and Network printer adds via GPO through the relevant OU's in AD. They can print fine - a/few month(s) later after many many students have logged on, the printer just stops adding. Re-ghosting the computer has been the only solution at the moment as it obviously clears what ever the issue is. I was thinking could it be something to do with the registry filling up or something to do with the local app data? Any help would be greatly appreciated as ghosting whole rooms frequently can become an issue at times. Thanks in advance, DJ.
  7. Never been in that Tool before - but compared it to another user who doesn't appear in twice, and there both the same.
  8. How would I do that?
  9. Nope, all blank.
  10. Nope, my test account isn't showing up in EMC, but still is in the GAL.
  11. I lost mine. My favourite bit was when it changed colour.
  12. Why would they be on EMC by just creating them in AD on the DC?
  13. I haven't created mail enable users, just a network user which is showing in the GAL - unless I'm missing something obvious? Could I have copied a user that is Mail Enabled and not known? How can you check? I'm purely creating a user account (through the DC), just to login but they are coming up in the GAL. Ignore the fact I am creating a Mail Contact through Exchange, this is for Admin use and isn't the issue. The Mail Contact points to their School Email address as it is a Post 16 Centre.
  14. I'll try and make myself clearer - apologies. When I create a new Staff User - they are coming up in the Exchange GAL for everyone, even though I don't touch their email address. I just input their name, a password and make sure they have the right settings (P:/, .bat, Members of etc etc) - Yet they are in the GAL. Now (obviously) when I then have to create a Mail Contact for Admin purposes, they are in there twice - one from Exchange, and the other from creating them in AD. Not all users have this issue, only users created recently - but I've compared them to other, previously made Staff Users and everything is identical. The only way I've found (using a test account) to remove the AD user from GAL is to delete them completely. Obviously this isn't ideal as I have about 15 Staff with the same symptoms and no easy solution.
  15. No once as soon as they are created in AD. Obviously when you add that user as a Mail Contact there is then two in GAL.
  16. Well it doesn't look like it's Exchange - any new user is showing in the GAL - so I think it's AD related.
  17. Hi, I've got a slight problem where a few users are showing up twice. I found this website (User in Global List with no account) with the exact problem and fix. But the fix is going right over my head. Where can I find the .xml file? Thanks in advance, DJ.
  18. Hi, Is it possible to single out a room (for example a Cyber Cafe) so that students would get another block list to the generic one we use for all Users? I know we can make a security group, and add certain students to it so we can have a White-list/Black-list but I am unsure on using computers? Is it possible? Thank you in advance, Dan.
  19. 2 GWs left!!
  20. I'm in.
  21. A car is mapped to its performance and weight from factory - that's why if you have fast road cams installed you need it to be re-mapped to accommodate them. The ECU won't figure that out, and it will not figure out driving styles especially not on a Ford Focus.
  22. Really? I'm pretty sure the ECU is mapped to that car - why would it need to re-learn? New ECU's are clever enough to let you disconnect the battery without any trouble.
  23. Disconnect the battery, it's not going to explode ffs lol
