With all due respect, that's not my area to be concerned about. Or should I say, that's not my role or my business. However, the devices will just be used to teach the IT Curriculum which was already in place before. No real changes other than the location of the device whether it be an IT Suite or in the classroom. As well as enabling the pupils to access online resources from within their class rather than the teacher having to sent their TA to the IT Suite just so the child can complete their book quiz online as an example.

Hi, We're an EYFS, KS1 & KS2 school and use 365. I was gearing towards a refurb in our IT Suit. However, headteacher wants laptops. Going with Laptops, they would be used for teaching the IT Curriculum as well as a resource within the classroom (accessing subscription websites, research, writing up their work..) If we did go with IT Suite we would be restricted to just teaching the IT Curriculum only as we're a two form school with 1 IT Suite. Thanks

Hi all, So, we were looking at purchasing iPad's for pupils on a 1:1 basis. However, the school has now decided to go down the laptop route. Surface Books seems to be the device that keeps getting mentioned. Are any of you guys using laptops within the classroom? What devices are you using? Also, any arguments on why using an IT Suite is more beneficial over laptop banks? Thanks!

Hi all, I'm trying to get a quote for Meraki MDM for roughly 500 devices. I can't get through to the sales or find any pricing online. Does anyone know where I can get this information from? Thanks!

Bev, what MDM are you using? I currently use Meraki but would need to pay for it if we were to use more devices.

Is this through the Teams app or via browser? I had the exact same error message on a teachers laptop. I had to uninstall, delete to %appdata% and folders from the C:/ installation path and then reinstall and restart.

Agree with mavhc, just because their domain account was locked it doesn't stop them logging in on a cached device. Wonder what the reasoning behind it is? EDIT: just seen your recent post, disregard

They've always quoted me the best prices and are overall pretty good! But as you say, purchasing anything IT-wise atm is very tricky!

Bev, you are a godsend! So after the 3 year period, does the school then own those iPads are do you have to send them back and then you start a new contract?

Thanks for the reply Bev! You say parents lease the iPads, so are parents footing that cost? what supplier are you using and which device are they using and at what cost? Ditto, I'm not sure on that at the moment. I don't see it being an issue them going home as we'd have warranty and damage protection, the children could use them from home to do their homework and extra learning so win-win I guess. Can they access their office365 account? We also had an issue when changing staff members last name.
