  1. Did anyone work out if the issue is resolved? It's gone a little quite here. I still have "Disable machine account password changes" enabled, so was wondering if it's safe to enable them again.
  2. Do you have a GPO that disables machine password changes? Or a long value set in Maximum machine account password age?
  3. We have exactly the same issue, updated DC's to 2025 and then the issues started. I've disabled machine password changes, which looks to have worked for now. There's a few similar threads on reddit about the same, all say the same they updated to 2025, but then they just stop talking.
  4. Morning, Just install the following Google Chrome Addon, https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/office-editing-for-docs-s/gbkeegbaiigmenfmjfclcdgdpimamgkj?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon And then change the default file type association (Or right click and open with), and you can then instantly open the office documents in Chrome / Google Docs and edit away. You even get the open to convert it to a Google Doc. P.s. I'm sure you friendly neighborhood IT Guru, will be able to push it out VIA the Google admin console, for all your users ;-)
  5. All our Primaries are serverless. Part of a bigger MPLS, so some servers are hosted centrally. All docs are in Google, so no file servers anywhere. DHCP etc. done from the switch, linked back to central Domain Controller for DNS and so on... It saves so much time and cost... Once you do it you will never go back!
  6. What was your bad experience with Aerohive? As that's one we were considering. I've used Aruba years ago, and we had so many issues with it. Mainly due to guest access and splash logins not working.
  7. For the MDM side I'm looking at Securly, which is considerably cheaper than Meraki. Still waiting for Stone to get back to me. along with a few others on pricing again. If there's any none Meraki resellers reading this, feel free to get in touch. Or if anyone can recommend a reseller of another make of WIFI, I'll be interested in what they can offer me to move away from Meraki.
  8. They did say it was education pricing, but you can never trust what they say... I've messaged stone to see what they say, we use them for PC's didn't know they did Meraki too. We have a few other sites, needed new wifi soon, so depending what costings I get back, they might not be Meraki! We are probably going to be around 600 AP's if we get every school on the same system. That's why I like Meraki, plug and play, and all devices can connect at any site.
  9. I was shocked too! I was expect about £5k I'm still trying to get another quote, but it was about £20K for the AP's / £10k for the SM... Just for another year!!! Going to migrate to a different MDM i think, that's easy, some are about 80% cheaper, so will test them out. I was hoping to work it out over 5 years, so leasing a new system over 5 years, would be a lot cheaper than Meraki. Cloud is all well and good, but you are held hostage by the license fees.
  10. Were coming to the end of our initial 5 year license. On the phone I've been told £30k for another year!! I've been looking at Cambium / Ruckus / AeroHive, as it may be cheaper to replace it. Need to read up on the AP's and work out costings. We have never had an issue with Meraki, so I would like to keep it, but due to the cost this might not happen.
  11. Hi, We currently have around 300 Meraki AP's / Almost 500 SM devices. But we're struggling to find any companies willing to give us a renewal price. I've been given some estimated pricing over the phone, which was astronomical! Can anyone recommend a company who deals with Meraki to assist? Also, has anyone else decided not to renew to the cost? Thanks,
