Hi, I am deploying StarOffice 9 by MSI to a bunch of laptops. Most have gone OK but some have failed saying that the deployment was suspended. I have restarted tham and they have not picked up the package again from the server. Having looked back at the logs, the server thinks that it has installed them correctly. I can't find any registry entries (althought I don't really know where to look or if they would be relevant)for the installation but there were some installed files which I have deleted. Sould I just set the group policy to remove staroffice package and then reinstall it? I'm not sure how this would affect the others that it did install on tho? I have looked at installing it manually on these machines, but the original msi is in german and is modified with an MST file! Any help appreciated! Cheers, Nic

Hi, Yeah, it seems to happen even when they've been logged on over a lesson or so, I will check the event logs ( I always forget to) and see what they say. I can never seem to get the wireless to work without the broadcom utiility, but will have a go at disabling it and see what happens! Cheers.

Hi, Just wondered if anyone has come across this issue before... We've got 30 HP 6715s laptops that work over our wireless network. They log on no problem after setting up the broadcom utility to start the card. When a user logs off though, it just sits there. I'm wondering if something is holding it open or if there is something else interfering? Any help appreciated! Cheers.

Hi, We use facility CMIS which has something like what SIMS has, but I wanted an attendance based system somwhat like cashless catering where you can book places in advance. I've got a demo coming of the istek thing, so hopefully it will work! Cheers!

Hi, I'm looking at this too, should be reasonably straightforward to set up the assessment grids, would need a bit of thinking done about how to report it after though, and how to filter the entry grid, I'm thinking of just having entry by individual pupil. Any ideas you have let me know and maybe we can come up with something? SERCO certainly don't seem to have anything prebuilt unfortunately. Cheers.

Hi, We've got a HP 6735b laptop with a broadcom wireless card in. I want this to connect to the network at logon so users can login wirelessly. I've installed the broadcom wireless utility to help do this, but I can't find the option to do so, there is a bit in the help that talks about an admin utility to do something like this, and to use --enable when you install the utility. I've never done this before and don't understand! Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm not tied to the broadcom utility, so if there are other ways to do it, I'm interested too!
