you need to publish the modules to the right module positions and apply the correct module styles ie the jsn slideshow needs to be published to "user 4" module position to get the module positions go to the extensions menu>>>>template manager>>>>>click the simple template and preview that template I also like the eg_simple template:) gonna run it past SMT to get feedback etc made a few changes so far here a long way to go.

I get an error on trying to install the sample content Error: the XML content that was returned from the server is invalid I'm assuming there is a way of capturing what was returned? help ***IGNORE ME*** RTFM:o

The Edugeek Package should work. What error are you getting? Where are you installing it?

Solved this problem, I created a blank configuration.php in httpdocs and it worked fine:)

I think I'm having the same sort of problem which I'm still having trouble with, is it trying to put/make a file/folder in the installation directory but can't?

The story so far..........we have access to reset passwords now, we are still having intermitent internet problems, still unable to upload our UPN csv file. As for creating a new account with email address not gone there yet.

Every time you log into the administrator its best to click download registrations(top right) it does'nt always get them all. Any error messages will show in the administrator. If you unlock all the candiates for the session in question and if some does'nt turn up just mark them as no show when everyone else has finished

I have been trying to install joomla 1.5 on our webspace with synetrix, uploaded the package ok run through the install and get right to the end and it gives an error: - httpdocs\configuration.php) function.file-put-contents: failed to open stream: Permission denied in \httpdocs\installation\installer\models\model.php on line 856 now a permission problem I hear you scream but I have changed the permission on the installation folder itself still no joy:confused: Normally you get the script for the configuration.php, create that delete installation directory and your away in theory at least. Am I missing something here? do the permission need changing else where? Help would be appreciated
