I would recommend moving off of SIMS for this. Our school currently uses a report that is run off SIMS at the end of the week, and that gets uploaded onto BehaviourWatch (you can assign detentions in bulk) and BW sends texts to parents. Seems pretty effective. The whole fact that BW can send texts home (without us having to type it in separately on CallParents) was the main reason we switched.

I would take a look at Keith Johnson's book https://www.timetabler.com/book/ I never had a look at it, but would from what I hear it is pretty good. I would love to take a look at it but... I'm a bit too lazy!

hmmm, I would probably recommend leaving this off Nova and SIMS. Currently we are planning everything on a mix of paper, Excel and whiteboards. Let me know what you do.

Just curious but have any of you had any experience with this? https://www.prowise.com/en/personal-devices/edubook-360/ My biggest concern is the fact that it claims to run Windows 10 on a Celeron processor!☠️ I'm not a big fan of the design, its very circular - the Chromebook (also by Prowise) looks better, but we are a O365 school, so its a no-go. Main attraction is the price - £300 w/o VAT is a pretty good deal, compared to £600-700 for a HP or £800-1000 for a Macbook.
