upgeade one Suite to windows 7 & office 2010 test Acer core2duo with win 7 for staff update. setup google mail system (might do this week) and lots of other stuff.. . and 3 weeks off.. to rest.

i have 58 Samsung cameras all plasic cases. i see them to be a big help in the edication, almost instent uploads to the server no need of cables and or removing memory cards or buying card readers 100% idiot proof. and i will not have to download the photoes coz the staff are to lazy... the FW update is good even with old cards giving you the same options as the new ones..

looking at next yr for PC's in the computer rooms. still cant make up my mind! spend lots of £££ on new PC's or go-down the VM allowing more options for home access for staff. do i pay out 14K on new PCs or 14K on new servers and VM setup keeping the old hardware and replacing it over the coming years. what to do .. what to do..!!!

I'm having a problem with a Canon IR 5880C Photocopier come Network Printer. i have windows server 2008 R2 64Bit it is set-up as a print server and i'm sharing the Canon Copier as a printer it has Department ID on it so it asks for a code when you come to print to it.. it has the 64 Bit drivers and 32Bit driver installed and tested working. i have window 7 clients 64 bit that map the shared printers. when i come to print a test page it comes up with the code box I add the code but then it complains it "cloud not get device information" 32bit client is fine but 64 bit just has problems.. any one else has a IR 5880C..

its just to check the connection to the printer.. as student.. some thing has changed even if you dont know what it is.. login in as admin is pointless as it's like having a master key to the school.. the script is to just test the connection as a student on a student GPO.. its saying it cant find it... i could say theres a dns error but not knowing what its set up like.. just try it for entertainment.. i have the same argument with virgin when things dont work.. and they say "Well everyone eles is ok in the street" it does not help.

i would build the OU layout and add a new computer(s) in to it with the name you want to use.. so when it joins it drops in to that OU and use a script change name based on mac.. where you can get the macs from the DHCP server.. Just export. and use netdom to join the domain on 1st boot after rename... not the best way to do it.. but should work .. but if you have MDT2010 like plexer said it should do it to..
