Hi All, I have performed the latest Nova T6 Satellite Update, but when we open an existing file it says that the file was made with version 644 and the current running version is 636. It prompts to update to the latest version of NT6, but the version it installs is 636. Am I missing something? Many Thanks Stu

Office 365 - Forms Export Settings & Date Format
CPS-Stimmers replied to CPS-Stimmers's topic in Cloud Services
I had looked at that previously, however it seems like that is just on Sharepoint, our Organisational settings are set correctly and there doesnt seem to be any regional settings for MS Forms. -
We're starting to use MS Forms more and more on site, and all is good except for one small annoyance. When exporting into Excel using the 'Open in Excel' option, it exports all the dates as US formatting instead of our UK format. I can confirm our Organisational settings, Chrome Settings and date selection options in Forms are all in UK format, and I have even tried changing my own language and region settings through my Delve profile. I've seen a few things online in my research, but has anyone else had or solved this problem? Many Thanks!

After turning on our HTTPS Inspection we have found that the Google Search Phone widget thinks its offline. I'm assuming its a block however I can't figure out the URL for it, when I try and track it down using the Realtime Web Filter on Smoothwall my Huawei phone is blocking many Huawei domains. Has anyone had a similar issue or has anyone successfully found the URL of the Google Search Widget?

Thanks for this! MFA is for our staff, and SSO would be for all users, but I will definitely take a look at the two you suggested!

Hi All, I've been asked to look into SSO and if it could be useful to us as a school. We use a lot of online platforms, for example Dr Frost, EduLink, Kerboodle. While our EduLink is linked to our AD, the others are controlled by the subject departments. My immediate reaction is one of concern, I'm trying to push out MFA and SSO, while great in theory, may not be what best for school security. What are others thoughts? have any of you used SSO in schools? also, in my research, the term O-Auth came up, does this mean that if platforms don't support O-Auth they they cant be connected via SSO? Thanks all!

Unfortunately there are a ton of variables, including the money you're willing to invest, the size of the project, the students PC at home... In terms of software there are a ton of alternatives as a lot of them have the same features but (assuming there's no budget for more software) several of them have free trials allowing you to Create and save files but not open previous project files and only export MIDI. Software such as Reason and FL Studio have this type of trial, you could export files from school and then import them at home however a lot of sense of control is lost and the work flow is quite long especially if they're working with multiple tracks. But then bringing them back is the issue. RE: Exporting. MIDI is great because its universal and small and any DAW can read it, the same for WAV audio. AAF is primarily for Avid products so I would stick to MIDI and WAV to keep things simple.

I've been thinking of training and things, this sounds like a great idea.

How do you know what you don't know?
CPS-Stimmers replied to CPS-Stimmers's topic in How do you do....it?
Powershell is noted thank you! I have copied several scripts and basically been a 'script kiddie' not really knowing how it does what it does but i do need to learn more. You've given me a good relief and good advice, I'll try to take it slow and steady instead of throwing myself in the deep end Thanks! -
I really like Andy Samberg & Taylor Lautner in it but the seasons kinda get worse and worse. But still I watch, I've just finished the latest season... very Meh...

Hi All, As the cryptic name suggests I'm wondering how much I don't know. And how much i have to learn. Obviously learning is never ending BUT, scouting around online there are so many terms and things that I have no idea about and have found myself creating lists of names and terms to research later. How have you all dealt with this? What are some of the most important things that you've learnt, that you didn't even know existed until it appeared?

We have a shared email used by two members of staff who have several email folders for certain projects. When the project is complete they then put the folder in another folder of 'Past Projects'. When they drag the folder (Folder A) in, it appears for a second, then disappears as if it wasn't there. However it then reappears when another folder (Folder B) is moved there. Similarly Folder B then disappears until a new one is added. Anyone have any idea whats going on?
