  1. Have you checked the time on the SIMS server? Years ago I had issues when the clock skewed more than five minutes and kerberos couldn't do it's thing!
  2. A device which stops my kids leaving the tap dribbling as they haven't turned it off fully.
  3. We have an environment of over 600 macbooks (airs/pros from 2010 onwards) and use a wired DS setup for imaging from a Mac server pro. We use a munki repo for our product deployment and updates. I couldn't recommend this setup more - it does a great job. Also, we always build over a wired gigabit network (rather than WiFi or 100Mb), as it takes the build time from over an hour to 30 minutes. We also tried to get a trial of Casper, but they were so reluctant to provide it, we went all open source in the end. It also saved us £000's!
  4. Well just thank goodness it's under the ojeu threshold - that's an area I never wanted to go into!
  5. It's years since I've written one, but the three things I remember: i) You only have to officially tender over a certain cost (£25,001 IIRC - feel free to correct me) ii) You can only put what you want the end product to do, not a proposed solution, ie. 'A computer suite of 25 graphic editing PC's' not '25 HP 6800 series PC's' ii) You can state what you are going to measure them on ie. 50% price, 25% delivery time, 25% support levels There's got to be some good templates online somewhere.
  6. Give me a PM later with whatever the outcome is. Charlie.
  7. If you don't have any luck finding a copy on disk, I have a copy on an external hard disk somewhere that I'm sure I could find a memory stick to put it on.
  8. Who the hell would when Moss was there?!??!
  9. Label maker. I can never have enough labels. Ever.
  10. 10 PRINT "Hello World" 20 GOTO 10 GENIUS!
  11. Just be warned last time the did this the lego sets went incredibly quickly - so be quick!
  12. I can give a thumbs up to the dc7900's - I bought about 200 of them a number of years ago. The only issue is that the cable covers suffer from small child with itchy finger syndrome; oh yeah, and they came with ps2 mice and keyboards as standard!
  13. Ok, I agree with some of the comments being out of place, such as the 'face that makes bread rise', but aside from that I thought having someone in the booth who knew about riding was a fresh position. So often you get people who don't know the basics commentating and it makes it very stale and clinical. It was great to have enthusiasm put into the commentary, but it needed to be reigned in in places.
  14. Recreate your first date??
  15. I've used CamStudio years ago - basic, but does the job. Don't forget to have masses of disk space, especially if it's a long handover - also, expect to be asked to asked to edit the video down afterwards!
