We are looking for a Senior IT Technician to work across a number of schools in our Western hub, which includes Windmill Primary School, Wheatfield Primary School, Floreat Montague Park Primary School, Hammond School, Lightwater Village School, Lorraine Infant School, Pine Ridge Infant School, Cordwalles Junior School and Springfield Primary School.
These schools are part of our multi-academy trust, GLF Schools. We currently have 39 schools in total across the South East. This role will primarily be based in the Wokingham, Camberley and Sunbury areas but the successful candidate will benefit from the support of our experienced IT team located throughout Surrey and Oxfordshire.
You will provide first and second line support in the field, working with a range of systems and users with varying skills and will need to find solutions to issues affecting all aspects of IT within the schools we support. This is a field-based role comprising of regular scheduled visits, ad hoc and emergency visits as required to our current and future schools.
The varied nature of this role requires an intelligent and enthusiastic person who has the ability to think outside the box to solve issues independently, but who can also work effectively with our wider IT and school teams. A friendly and professional manner is vital, as this is a customer-focused role, based in schools.
You must have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role and experience with hardware and software, including installation, configuration and deployment.
This is a full-time appointment for 36 hours a week however, we will consider term-time plus 4 weeks (43 weeks per year).
