  1. I have got one of those, but I'm unable to use the VGA port and HDMI port at the same time on the computer - the screen just goes blank.
  2. Hello, I have tried looking, but I am unable to locate one, but does anyone know if you are able to purchase VGA splitters that allow you to extend your screen? Our computers have VGA & HDMI ports, but we tend to use VGA due to the visualisers being VGA. I'd be grateful for any advice or alternative to be able to extend the screens, as this is something teachers have asked for. Thanks
  3. Hello, I have been trying to customise the taskbar for all users. I have been trying for a few weeks by following guides (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/configuration/configure-windows-10-taskbar) but it does not seem to be working. The only items pinned to the taskbar that I want is; Google Chrome, Snip & Sketch & Windows Explorer. I do not want Edge, Store or Mail. I have exported a taskbar from my login with the pinned items, but it's saved as a registry file - would this be able to be set as a GPO? IS anyone able to help with this? Thanks
  4. I haven't done no. It has been suggested by SMART to do a custom install without the drivers but I can't do that because it won't let me untick that box.
  5. Hi, We have recently moved over to SMART Learning Suite as an upgrade from SMART Notebook 10. It installed fine on the computers but for some reason doesn't seem to want to install on the Laptops, I keep getting "Error 2753" screenshot attached. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to resolve it? Thank you
  6. Hello, I'm not sure whether anyone else has had issues with syncing to a Google Account. At the school the children login to the computer as their own individual account (Level 3), when they login to Chrome for Google Classroom etc they keep getting "Can't sync username@domain" I have tried to login as a child and adult Google account and get the same issue. Yet it works in incognito, children have the same settings as the adults from the server for Google Chrome. When I login to the computer as an adult account (Level 4) I am able to login to Google as both a child and adult Google Account. I have checked the GPO's but can't see anything obvious. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    Static IP

Yes it is UniFi, we switched to this back in May last year, and have had issues ever since. It was changed to a Personal security or something because when it was setup as Business none of our old devices connected.

    Static IP

I'd have to check this, but we have 5 of the same laptops, and the other 4 connect fine.

    Static IP

Hello, I'm just wondering if anyone know the answer to my query. I have a laptop that keeps picking up an IP address that is not accosiated with the school, I have done ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew and it's not making a difference. When I set it a static ip it works fine. My question is if I change the IP settings on the WiFi connection, does this alter the Internet Protocol Version 4 propetrties? I only ask because when I change it through the adapter settings when teachers take their laptop home, they then don't get internet connection. Thanks
  13. I don't personally get involved with the networking side of things like the DNS or DHCP all I do is reserve an IP address if required, for example our door system. Yes the changes were made on the layer 3 switches and the subnet mask was changed on the server.
  14. Here is a bit of background on our IP Range; Our range originally up until December 2020 was 10.41.90.0/24 this was increased due to having issues with connecting to the WiFi but overall we had no issues with devoces disconnecting. Since the IP range changed, we are now 10.41.88.0/21 since then we have had issues with iPads/Chromebooks connecting to the DHCP, our server support company made the necessary changes to the DNS/DHCP. I'm not sure if you've heard of Ergo Free2Teach software? But I have noticed that any devices that fall outside of our old IP range I get a message saying "Unable to locate server" but when I have a device that receives an old IP of 10.41.90 then it works, where if it has 10.41.88, 10.41.87, 10.41.89, 10.41.91, 10.41.92, 10.41.93, 10.41.94 or 10.41.95 I can't the error message. Thank you
  15. Hello, After facing many issues with our iPads and Chromebooks unable to locate the DHCP server, I have decided to give them a Static IP. I have noticed on the DHCP server, that not all the IP addresses from our rang appear, so I'm unable to add a reservation. Has nyone got any suggestions as to why not all addresses from the IP range don't appear? I have the Start IP and End IP setup with some addresses excluded. Thank you
  16. Thank you for all your support - it turned out that there was a Firewall preventing the devices from connecting to the internet.
  17. Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I have recently got our IP range increased, it was originally 10.41.90.0 - 10.41.90.255 it was changed to 10.41.88.0 - 10.41.95.255, for some reason the devices only have internet connection when they have the 10.41.90 range, I have a few devices that have picked up a 10.41.88 range but they internet access. So it seems to be any picking up from the new range can't get internet, I had the DCHP altered, by our server company but still having issues. Thanks
  18. Ideally I only want to disable this for certain logins as they are shared logins i.e. for visitors/supply so I don't want it to remember the Google account last signed in to that PC login. We use Google Chrome.
  19. They do need to sign into their PC account first, but two members of staff use one login (shared - it's suppose to be used only for assemblies) but they keep staying signed in. For example, today a member of staff who last signed into their Google account on Friday was signed in today on Google yet they are not in school. I only want it applied to shared logins ideally.
  20. Hello, Since moving away from Roaming Profiles I've noticed that Google seems to save the login details for G-Suite. IF a member of staff or child signs into their Google account and then signs out of the machine without signing out of their Google account the next time they login to the machine it remembers their login. With Roaming profiles we didn't have this issue, if they signed out of the machine without signing out of Google they'd have to relogin to everything the following time. I have setup the following GPO so it doesn't remember their passwords - I have tested it by signing in as a user and a Google account and signed out the machine without signing out of Google and it still remembered it. This is the GPO I have done Computer Config - Policies - Windows Settings - Security Settings - Local Policies/Security Options and enabled the "Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication User Config - Policies - Administrative Templates - Google/Google Chrome/Password manager and I Disabled the "Enable saving passwords to the password manager" Is there something I have missed for this not to work? Thanks
  21. We have DHCP - the devices seem to work now so not sure why it wasn't before. Thanks for your support.
  22. I tried that but still nothing. I brought home a wireless dongle and it worked so now I'm more confused than ever, Laptop built in WiFi works in school Laptop built in WiFi - doesn't work at home Wireless dongle inserted in school - doesn't work Wireless dongle inserted at home - does work
  23. Yeah it works in school but not at home. I did work until I restarted the machine since then it hasn't worked. We don't use a proxy server.
  24. Hi We have recently disabled Roaming Profiles for Windows 10 due to the issues we were facing. I have got it so the Documents and Desktop files are backedup on the Server. Since doing this the Windows Apps worked again after setting Program Files - Windows Apps with ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES with Read, write permissions. I am now facing the issue of being unable to connect to the internet at home since disabling roaming profiles - does anyone know why this could be? Any help is greatfully appreciated, Thanks
  25. Hi, I have done this now at long last, I was waiting for INSET Days to do it as I knew staff would be woring from home. Fingers crossed issues should be resolved. The next thing I need to do is sort out the Windows Apps issue, I have tried this on a couple of machines manually and it has worked by doing the following; Local Account "All Application Packages" %Userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages Folder - Full ControlC:\Users Folder - Full ControlC:\Program Files\WindowsApps - Read & Execute, List Folder Contents and Read Can I add this to the follow GPO? Otherwise I'm going to have to do all machines manually which will take some time. GPO can be found here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bv8m4b7qcdFh89B-BUwmuBzL9-Dg4kfO/view (you may need to download it to view. Thanks
