    It sounds like you're hitting F8 too early, and ending up with a BIOS selection notification. I'd turn the PC on, give it a slow 10 count, then start pressing F8. You're looking for the Windows Advanced Options menu.

    I remember playing a version of that game the last time my parents moved house. Turns out they had a !Tin! of cheese, which was older than I am (and I was in my mid 20's at the time!)

    Cheap Office 2010 is going to be the sticking point.
