  1. I keep seeing some congratulations of Server 2022, but not sure what? We are on 2022 and seem ok so far on the clients that have updated so far but I've hit pause on Windows Updates so it's only about 10 devices but no one has complained, it could be due to cached credentials though. If I can find out what specific config of 2022 and if we are ok I'll let them roll out as these latest patches fix a massive amount of security issues.
  2. We moved to Arbor a few years back and we now download a CSV from ParentPay of the pre-admission data, do some work on that to match up with data from Arbor, and then import it into Arbor into UDF fields, and then email out to parents via Arbor using a custom report/mail merge. It works, takes a bit of work to get all the bits in place, in the past we just use to print the welcome letters and then post them out but since moving to Arbor we've made a decision to stop posting out as the speed and reliability of letters getting to people was shocking. Still no idea why ParentPay doesn't have a simple on import email signup details to parents/carers.
  3. It does say to use low resolution images!
  4. Never looked into OSDcloud, but will check it out!
  5. Yeah same here, we just use it to load a Windows 11 clean, and then let Intune install all the apps. Going to hang onto MDT as long as we can.
  6. Hi all, All our classrooms have ViewSonic ViewBoards, and we make use of their broadcast feature to publish out prayers in the morning, afternoon and end of the day, these are a mixture of PNG to small video files. We've started to transition to a video of a member staff reading out the prayer but all of a sudden we have found the TVs are being really hit and miss and will start playing the video and then just cut off and go back to the the previous input with it being random, one day one TV will play the video fine, the next day it won't. I don't think it's the size of the video, this new file is around 23mb and other files have been 30 odd mb and we've not had issues, so am now looking at the way the MP4 is encoded and seem to have a bit more success with a file that's encoded with x265 rather than x264. We have over 80 TVs the video is going out to and 98% of them are connected via cable to the network. I do have a line of communication open with someone at ViewSonic but wanted to know if anyone else here does anything else similar? Thanks.
  7. It's not that - it's currently set to Common USB mode. So if I install the latest driver, although you get the PCL error it does send the file and does engrave although on screen you can see if buffering the file. It's a workaround that will have to do until for the time being.
  8. Just doing some Googling and there is a USB mode setting, could it be this? I'll have a test tomorrow changing the USB mode as I have a feeling it's set to GCC USB and for 64bit it seems it needs to be set to Common USB.
  9. So I've finally got around to having ago at getting this sorted and am stumped. I tested with my laptop using the Mercury III Driver for 5206 Mainboard and it seemed to work, sent the file to the laser cutter. So changed my plan slightly a setup a spare PC to use that instead of the teachers laptops. So imaged a PC with Windows 11 24H2, installed the driver and thought that would work but no nothing. Then plugged my laptop back in to test that and now that isn't working. So am confused now. Any ideas?
  10. Am ordering some G4 docks for our new classrooms @Snaxident EDIT: No going for these ones HP Universal USB-C Multiport Hub - Supports dual 4K Displays Via HDMI 2.0 - HP Store UK - They look like updated versions of the ones we currently use so am hoping they work just as well! I'll keep you posted, hopefully have the modulars in by end of Oct HT. cheers.
  11. I got a few mins to have a look and we are on a 5206 mainboard, the drivers worked on my laptop but then I had some trouble on the teacher laptop but this was possible related to me installing multiple versions of the drivers. So going to try again another day and after removing all the drivers and rebooting the laptop. thanks again, am nearly there now.
  12. Yeah same, had lots of students trying to access via the app which wasn't saying anything about maintenance I believe so we had lots of students thinking their passwords were wrong. As much as it's an inconvenience it's better it's down at 8pm than 8am so looking at the positives!
  13. We have this, both are great.
  14. Yes that would be good! One app instead of two would be good, the amount of students we have who download the parent app.
  15. This would be great, along with allowing Microsoft logins for students.
