Application that scans/installs for new drivers?

Alright.

So, I recently modified my version of Windows XP using nLite. I took out all of the built in drivers that it had, along with other stuff so that boot up, as well as the overall performance would be faster.

So, since I deleted all of those onboard drivers, I need a software that would scan the currently plugged in hardware and see if there's a new driver for it, then install those new drivers to my PC!

Umm,

Does anybody know of an application that would do that?

o.o

I don't know about a program that would find AND install them for you, but if you're after something to tell you specific makes/models of componants etc, then SiSoft Sandra might be your answer?

If you mean look on the Internet to see if the manufacturer has updated the driver since Microsoft bundled it, such a service doesn't exist. It's impossible because every manufacturer publishes drivers in a different manner. The closest thing you will get is indeed Windows Update, but that's not going to be bleeding edge drivers if that's what you're after, and you have to do it manually.

(Edit: by "driver" in this context, I mean "trustworthy driver".)
