Free Moodle Block to improve your homework management

Effective management of homework is a challenge faced by many schools and responding to this, Overnet Data has developed a free Moodle homework block. I like it:) Installed no probs on 3.2 dev (only site I have where I can install plugins currently) and very easy to operate. I'll add a review to the Plugins directory once it has been approved, which hopefully might be soon now. I think teachers will find it easy and will therefore be motivated to use it. I like the fancy graph things. A bit annoying when you click on something good only to discover you have to pay for an upgrade -but hey - that's how you feed your families and that's fair enough. The free version does plenty anyway. Grading is very basic (like the quick grading) and so none of the unoconv stuff in 3.1 or pdf annotation but then, for many teachers, that is all they need anyway - place to see the work, give feedback and grade. And I like how students can see what they need to do in different courses too. The one thing I missed or else I couldnt work out how to do it - was that if you go to a course where you already have lots of assignments, you have to make new assignments within the block; you can't somehow attach existing Moodle assignments into the homework block. And yet it looks to be the assignment code you are using, or some of it anyway?

3.2, eek! Earlier in development we did show existing assignments within the Homework block; however we track which user created homework assignments (for the reporting side of things among other reasons), and it appeared the only way to find out the creating user of existing assignments within Moodle was to trawl through the log tables - which gave serious performance issues as the correct indexes aren't there. We could add a feature to import existing assignments into the block if people considered it useful...?
