Limiting Amount of Devices to Connect...

I want to know if it is possible to Limit the amount of devices connected to an Access Point.

For example;

10 devices have access to the AP, but i only want to allow 5 devices to be allowed to connect to it at any one time.

Depends on your make/model of APs - is it a managed system?

Well each systems options will be different, the manual doesn't seem to mention a client limit: ftp://ftp.dlink.co.uk/dir_products/dir-615/DIR-615_Manual.pdf

 

But maybe you could limit the DHCP pool to 5, with a short lease time, and statically assign any physically linked machined out of that range? it's not pretty, but it might work enough
