alan-d Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 There have been some post about Nelson Thornes software but I need opinions on their VLE content software. Is anyone using it? What problems have you encountered (if any) On paper it looks useful until the name Nelson Thornes starting ringing alarm bells, so feedback would be welcome.
alan-d Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 86 Views and not one reply Does this mean we may be guinea pigs for this VLE stuff? (Oh bugger!!!!!!!!!!!)
atfnet Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 All I can say is good luck, if it’s anything like there other lovely offerings.
bgarston Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 All I can say is good luck, if it’s anything like there other lovely offerings. You are joking aren’t you!? How firmly is your tongue in your cheek? IMHO NT software has never the best when compared to software from our publishers. My advice - dont bother! Ben
StArbiter Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Interestingly our local rep said they have n content that is yet compatible with a VLE - Alan what software have they offered you ?
CyberNerd Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 are these scorm resourses or tied to a particular provider?
alan-d Posted July 17, 2007 Author Posted July 17, 2007 The brochure doesn't actually say whether they are SCORM complient or not, but they plan to have all of their titles available as a VLE, currently moodle with others to follow in the future. Current VLE titles are: ICT Framework Solutions Live ICT for You EXP Maths 7, 8 & 9 Scientifica 7, 8 & 9 Voila 1,2 Rigolo 1 Other than the usual blurb it tells me nothing else. Our ICT Co-ord is only considering it at the mo so I'm not in panic mode yet
