benq with smart notebook

Anyone else have the Benq touchscreen + Smart notebook bundle?

The connection wizard constantly says no smart device connected though the touch is behaving as it should. Is that normal as it technically isn't Smart hardware?

I would've thought with it being authorised equipment it would detect it.

I have exactly the same issue, no help anywhere either. Now refuse to buy license wit it, can't understand the need.

The BenQ screen is being distributed by the same company who manages Smartboards. It is their response to the growing threat of touchscreens. The touch surround in the screen is manufactured by a company who Smart own. Hence the software will work, but is not recognised as a native Smartboard. There are plenty of other touchscreens now available, so maybe consider the CTOUCH or Clevertouch who are far less restrictive in their approach to what software is used.
