CyanogenMod 7.1 - Auto-display picturees in e-mails?

I'm running CyanogenMod 7.1 on my HTC and love it. Had it for ages now, but one thing that bugs me is that pictures never auto-display in e-mails. I always have to hit the "Show Pictures" button. I've looked everywhere for a way to auto-display pictures but can't seem to find an option for this. Is it possible? Or is there an Android e-mail client which will do this in the Play store?

I have cynanogen mod 10, its crap... cant get the camera to work at all I have A HTC Desire.

 

Where did you get the files for 7 ? Id rather flash downways and get my camera working again!

Which CM10 ROM are you using? There are some (like this one) which don't have camera problems (at least according to release notes).

 

I have CyanogenMod 10, it's crap...

I haven't had any problems with CM 10.1 on my Nexus 4. Everything works.

Not sure of which CMX10 it is .. i Have just reflahsed to CM7 - nothing but unexpected errors and force closes...

The regular/original HTC desire? I'm hardly suprised that CM10 isn't working well on there then! You're making the phone run an OS that was released like 3 generations after the phone was! Switch to a proper supported ROM for your device like CM7, which you can get from here

I have an HTC Desire HD and the highest stable version available is 7.2 but I had a few issues with the menus not working correctly. 7.1 works fine.

@cpjitservices - Regular Desire with CM7.2. No problems with the camera here. Sounds like a downgrade would be best.

 

Back OT, @Rawns - are you using any particular program to view your emails, or just the stock browser to navigate to your inbox? My (rarely used) hotmail account has to manually be told to show pictures, but afaik (and I'll check this later - signal here is terrible) my Gmail pictures show up just fine. Have you checked the settings of your email provider to see if it's an option there? Perhaps it's something to do with 'trusting' the source?

I have Cyanogen 10.1 on my Samsung Galaxy S2 and it's rock solid stable. Anyway, the OPs issue is not a Cyanogen one, it's a Mail app one. I presume you're using the Mail app with an exchange account. If so, there's no way round this within Mail. It's a bug^H^H^H feature of MS ActiveSync. The only other option in this case would be to use K9 with IMAP that'll let you download the mails and load the images inline. It'll also suck your battery less than Activesync too. It's not an exchange account, it's my home TalkTalk account.

Ah. I check emails by browsing to the website (hotmail.com/gmail.com etc) so I guess I'm not much use here.

Then again, I rarely use my phone for emails.
