ryanplym Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Hello, Has anyone purchased an Apple TV and successfully connected it to a RCA input? We need to link our Apple TV to a projector but it only has a RCA connection. I have purchased several HDMI to RCA but none have worked. Thanks. Ryan
mac_shinobi Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 What connectors does the projector have other than RCA ( not DVI or anything like that ) ? AV Connections Explained ? DVI, HDMI, RCA, Component | ThatCable.Com Not related to this but I purchased a HDMI to DVI-D cable when I had a 2008 mac pro and connected my mac pro to my HD TV and that cable worked fine, just a thought.
Arthur Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 connected it to a RCA input? RCA, as in composite (red, yellow, white) or component (green, blue, red)? 1

3s-gtech Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 The Kanex is a good solution, but obviously this is only useful with a projector with multiple VGA inputs (not that unusual) or with a VGA switcher. Trying to get it to work over composite sounds like a nightmare.
ryanplym Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 Hello, Thank you so much for all your replies. Apple TV has been a complete nightmare so we have decided to use AirServer (20 licenses for just under £51) You can download a 7 day trial from AirServer - The game console for Mac/PC has arrived it seems to work for us just waiting on our finance depart to purchase the licenses now.
