talksr Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Hi, I have a couple of the following HP computer systems, does anyone know if they would be compatible with Windows 7? HP Compaq dc5800 microtower e7500 core 2 duo 1.97gb ram product no: VC675ET#ABU I am guessing if they are, they will need more ram as 2gb is not loads. They came with Windows XP and an upgrade to Vista I believe. Any advice would be great
3s-gtech Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) Yup, they'll work. The Intel GMA 3100 graphics will support Aero too, albeit they may compain sometimes when pushed (you may get prompts asking users to turn off Aero as it's running slowly). More RAM is good, though 2GB will work for light use. Edited January 24, 2013 by 3s-gtech Corrected specs
talksr Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 Thanks for your fast response. I am presuming they will take 64x?

Rawns Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 May not need it but just in case: Download Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor from Official Microsoft Download Center
