Encrypting a macbook with dual boot?

Hi

 

Does anyone know how to encypt a macbook when it is dual booted, so that on the main startup you put password in?

 

They are Staff Macbooks that need access to school network, they're running Snow Leopard.

Yep i did it with Trucrypt for windows and firevault for mac. You need to make sure the Windows partition is before the Mac one to work with truecrypt.

If all you want is a password on boot, you can set a Firmware Password to be required to turn on the machine. This is how I do it in DeployStudio

If windows 7 then maybe bit locker instead of true crypt ? Not really tried on a dual boot mac ie windows and OS X so will agree with FN_GM ref doing windows first and then OS X

Macs do not have a TPM so bitlocker wont be any good.
