Installation of Joomla

Hi Guys

 

Can anyone give me a quick how to on installing the edugeek joomla package onto a 2003 Server. I'm not so good when it comes to these things. I've installed IIS but can't get much further.

you will need to set up on the server

 

PHP 4.2.x or above - http://php.net

MySQL 3.23.x or above - http://mysql.org

 

if you search the joomla forums im sure there is a few threads on how to configure Joomla with IIS

Look for a package called wamp. That will install all the stuff you need including apache.

You'll need to give the mysql root user a password from within phpmyadmin

 

Goto wamp\phpmyadmin\config.inc.php and look for the auth_type entry and change it from config to http

 

Click "Put server Online" from the taskbar button.
