BigRed Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Hey everyone, Has anyone experienced issues with some websites since moving over to LGFL 2.0? I have had problems specifically with Tumblr (Tumblr redirects to https when accessed) Also an issue with certain shopping sites. Browser just said the page cannot be displayed and that's it. It is not being filtered because I have also attempted to add the HTTPS path to the exception list.
rad Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Yes, just add it to the allow list on webscreen 2.0. It doesnt give a block page though, thats the irritating part just a windows type message.
BigRed Posted January 15, 2013 Author Posted January 15, 2013 I already have it added in webscreen in tumblrs example as http://www.tumblr.com https://www.tumblr.com the problem is also intermittent, it can happens often but varies between computers
psydii Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Be careful messing with filtering on for that site. Tumblr has plenty of stuff you don't want available in a school.
BigRed Posted January 15, 2013 Author Posted January 15, 2013 unfortunately not a lot I can do. It's part of the curriculum for the 6th formers and the school does not have Per User Filtering set up. I find it ridiculous that I must add https versions of sites manually!
rad Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 just add tumblr.com you dont have to add it twice then. I have the same issues opening up sites. They have it down as a curriculum site so it has to be unblocked. My hands are tied to a degree.
