NovaSatelliteSetup.exe is not a valid previous version

Hello all,

 

Just tried to run the Autumn update and got the following error:

 

\NovaSatelliteSetup.exe is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded.

 

any one got any clues?

i think may have missed an update; when i run Solus should that pick up that i have missed an update?

 

NovaSatelliteSetup.exe version is 1.610.1.0

Check the setups folder and ensure that the NovaSatelliteSetup.exe and NovaSatelliteSetup.exe.signature's date and time match. Sometimes I've seen this error with other setups when the signature files does not match the executable.

Ah ok i just saw and the dates are both different, shall i delete them both and run the solus again?

I would move them or rename them so you don't lose them. Then try.

You might need to download the CD with the latest files in and copy them in manually if it doesn't work.

Usually the update goes back two previous updates, how many did you miss? Actually you're probably better getting the old CD ISO and getting the any missing files from that, but try removing them and running SOLUS.

i got this sorted last night by using the the old installs/sig files from Discover2012Summer-7.146.6.0
