Pro-Bot equivalent for Win 7

So it turns out that the software for Pro-Bots does not work with Windows 7.

 

Does anyone have a good alternative for teaching control at KS2?

Have you tried it in "XP Mode"? (PITA, but cheaper than buying new kit).

Oh we don't have them at the moment, a teacher put in an order which I just happened to spot.

Am looking for an alternative.

MS robotics studio interfaces with all sorts of robot gear, has a simulation environment, some ai stuff if I recall and is free. Probably way more scaleable for all types of robotics including the Lego NXT stuff.
