Good morning,

Our HR person has had a couple of cases where the next of kin for a member of staff should be "Civil Partner" as none of the other relationship types fit.

I've put in a change request for this - please can you vote?

Change Request Reference No. : 1301-1161497

Thanks, Ed

Can't they just use Partner or Husband/Wife as appropriate? If you add Civil Partner this could reveal more information about an employee then they would want to reveal.

EDIT - Although thinking of it Husband/Wife would do the same. >.< Still, partner seems to be on there already in your list? Also why does Supportnet think I agree when I haven't yet voted?

That is what I said to the HR manager - however the member of staff has kicked off saying that none of those titles are politically correct for their situtation and they want it to say Civil Partner.

I don't think this is a matter with a technical solution then TBH. It sounds more of an issue between HR and a rather over-reacting member of staff. :(

Also I think your link is automatically adding Strongly Agree votes as it voted without my approval and comes up with an error after logging in then fine once the login session has been created.

I'm guessing that would be the "status=vote&score=2" part of the URL.

Umm, I might be reading this wrong, but I don't think it needs to be a change request.

The Next of Kin Relationship Type is not a statutory lookup so you can just add Civil Partner to it (via Tools>Lookups>Maintain and then search for 'Next of Kin Relationship Type')
