Arthur Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) It's the what's new links That's strange. They are working for me. Edited December 20, 2012 by Arthur
Gatt Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Working for me too here... Just downloaded the ISO - can't tell if its just the SP or if its CM12 with SP1 integrated in. RTM ISO = 1.7GB SP1 ISO = 902MB Folder structure on both seems similar so wondering if its akin to 2007 R3.... Not installing it now as I want to get snapshots of my SCCM server and SQL server first..
MYK-IT Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) Just in time too after I got affected by a bug that kills the MP if you have WMF 3.0 installed... @FN-GM - I just went straight to TechNet and downloading from there.. I wish I had known about this earlier!! http://www.edugeek.net/forums/enterprise-software/106082-system-centre-virtual-machine-manager-2012-error-2911-a.html Oh well, finally back up and working now. Whilst SC2012 SP1 brings nice new features and updates, I hadn't planned to rebuild our DPM2012 and SCVMM2012 servers from 2008 R2 to 2012 so soon. Edited December 27, 2012 by ChrisH
Gatt Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Typically they ahvent yet released the non Windows OS client packs
ful56_uk Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Did your system centre sp1 upgrade to day and it broke our pxe boot. On the smspxe log file it suggested it was missing some font files for the boot images did a search on the server and put them back where the log file says it was missing from and it seems to have sorted the issue.
FN-GM Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) Its not broken my PXE but has broken OSD. It is ignoring my steps to install packages and install updates. The log shows "Unable to read SMS client cert from environment. Not restoring SMS client cert. OSDSetupHook." Edited December 21, 2012 by FN-GM
Gatt Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Anyone know if the client for Linux has been updated for SP1 final? Can only find the links to the SP1 Beta clients...
Arthur Posted December 26, 2012 Author Posted December 26, 2012 A few more SP1-related links that may be useful. Configuration Manager 2012 SP1 RTM Installation Note. Configuration Manager 2012 SP1 does support SQL 2012, however, it does not yet support SQL 2012 SP1. If you installed SQL 2012 SP1, and ran Windows Update and allowed it to install SP1, I’d recommend re-installing SQL 2012 without SP1 or you will have issues. Arthur Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 Something else to watch out for with SP1... I'm trying to import a computer into the database by using the powershell cmdlets which have been delivered through SP1. The syntax I'm using is as follows: Import-CMComputerInformation -CollectionName "Win8 Staging" -ComputerName "SVLABW802" -MacAddress "5F:DA:FA:FA:FA:FA" The error which is then displayed is: "WARNING: The collection Win8 Staging does not exist or is not suitable for adding the new device." The PowerShell cmdlets that come with SP1 are not the final versions. (Source)
deano Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Im not a subscriber to Technet but the Volume Licensing is showing the download as "with SP1". Will they put this on Volume Licensing portal or is it there but named differently?

Arthur Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Just spotted this... You may need to re-download Configuration Manager 2012 and Endpoint Protection 2012 SP1 Binaries! The binaries for System Center Configuration Manager 2012 and System Center Endpoint Protection 2012 have been updated to correct some minor issues. The binaries have been updated at the Download Center, and also on the Technet and MSDN download sites. For Configuration Manager 2012 SP1, the updated download release of SP1 includes the following hotfix: Installation error 0x800b0101: System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Service Pack 1 client For Endpoint Protection, the new binaries include fixed files (Linux/iOS) that were corrupt in the initial release. This means if you downloaded the binaries prior to today (25/01/2013) - you will likely need to re-download them. (Source)
