Currently playing around with AD trying to work out how want to setup our user accounts.

W have created a couple of new users, which appear to login fine. But when logged into the server as Administrator we can't see or access their files.

Is this normal? Is there a way of allowing Administrator to access all user profile folders?

Thanks

If your using windows vista or above there is a setting Group policy to do exactly this.

it's located in

computer\configuration\administrative Templates\system\User Profiles

the policy is called

Add the Administrators security group to roaming user profiles

On the server side. when this policy is applied and linked to an OU which contains your test machine, run a GPupdate /force on that machine and reboot if necessary and it should add the administrators group to any newly created profiles.
