This is a challenging and exciting time for the Higher Education sector. The Open University (OU) is well placed to respond to these challenges and this role will play a crucial part in delivering the Information Technology (IT) which will enable the University to adapt and be successful in this changing environment.

 

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative and delivery focused individual to join the IT team and support the development of robust, enterprise-scale IT Systems to lead the University into its next chapter.

 

You will play a key role in the transformation of the OU’s systems and capability as well as providing effective ‘business as usual’ delivery using a mix of bespoke software and package solutions.

 

You will have specific senior level experience of leading software development, package implementation and systems integration at scale. Fully conversant with ‘state of the art’ development and project methodologies, you will have excellent interpersonal, negotiation skills, and business acumen.

 

The role reports into the Chief Information Officer and is a member of the five person IT Executive team.
