Viglen Sound Issues! No Sound! Help!>.......

We have a Windows 7 PC with 64 Bit Windows, and it's a Viglen - I can't get any sound from the unit whether I use the motherboard sound card or an external USB one. Has anybody seen this? I think it maybe a piece of software I am installing that is causing the problem but I can't get to the bottom of it. It is the same on more than this particular Viglen. I have tried starting and stopping Windows Audio Services, something is stopping any sound being herd even though the PC thinks its working fine, it recognises headphones are being plugged in etc.

Try a Linux disc like Mint. This will show if it is hardware or software.
