Rawns Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 For £2.99, it's a steal. Like GTA3 on the iPad, Rockstar have done an awesome job porting it across and the controls are really slick for a tablet!
InterwebsGuy Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 I'm not paying £2.99 for it.. it will drop to at least £1.99 if not £0.69 before too long - especially as it will be the third time I have bought VC. Great game though, can't wait to replay it!

Great game though, can't wait to replay it! You think £2.99 is to much? It's a bargain IMO considering how much is was back in the day and the cost of some other games on iDevices. I doubt it will drop in price either, GTA3 was out in Feb and it's still £2.99. And considering how in depth the game is compared to the likes of Angry Birds/Cut The Rope etc, it's value for money too!

How often do you look at an app on your phone/tablet and think "£1.99? No way am I paying that!" then go and spend £50+ on apiece of software for your PC?

Yes, I do think it is a fair chunk for a game that is ten years old, and a game that I have already paid full price for on Playstation and PC in the past. Angry Birds and that lot, I dunno - you're probably right, they are not my thing so don't play them. No argument though, it is a terrific game.

I've no problem paying the price of a pint for an app, as I have done many times before. It's just the game is ten years old, and I've paid full price for it twice before.
LosOjos Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 BTW - any Android users reading this, before you run over to Play Store, we don't have it yet. Apparently it was released on the 6th alongside the iOS version, but some major problem with server verification meant it had to be pulled. Rockstar say they'll release it on Android by the end of this week.

I sometimes get like that when the Steam Sale is on! 75% off, yet it's still not enough for me to hand my cash over, despite the game only being £1.99!
CAM Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 It's actually common for me to buy a game on XBox, get frustrated with it then buy it later on PC just to enjoy it more after a platform switch.
newpersn Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Out of interest. Does it have the radio stations?
LosOjos Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Out of interest. Does it have the radio stations? I don't know for sure, but I'd assume it's a direct port as were GTA3 and Max Payne, so yes I'd guess that they will be
Rawns Posted December 10, 2012 Author Posted December 10, 2012 Yes, all radio stations are in the game. I also "think" you can play your iPad music in the custom radio station too (however as I have no music on my iPad, I cannot test this).
Arthur Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Does it have the radio stations? There's also an Android app with all of the GTA radio stations. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myapps.gtaradio 1

I'd give +rep for pointing this out but have to 'spread it about' first! Also, I love being able to download apps to my phone from the Play store on my PC!
LosOjos Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Android version is out again :-D Runs perfectly on the Galaxy S3
Rawns Posted December 22, 2013 Author Posted December 22, 2013 Woop! GTA: San Andreas now available on iPad too!
