Hello,

We've deployed Adobe Reader X across our network and it's chucking up a message saying that the file can't be opened because of security issues. I've been reading it's to do with the 'Enable Protected Mode' checkbox. All I want to do is to be able to disable it using a GPO across our network without a fuss (does that exist?!). Any step by step instructions would be gratefully received!

Many thanks

We had a similar issue when we deployed Acrobat Reader for the first time. I fixed the problem here by making sure that staff and student user groups had Read permission on the MSI before deployment.

They can open the program fine but when they try to open a PDF on the network it brings up that message
