Remote into a machine from a webpage

I want to remote into a virtual remote machine that is at my house over the internet, I don't want to use vpn, but I know you can remote in from a webpage...

 

What is this called?

and how would I go about setting it up?

I know you can use rdp in a webpage and am looking towards that idea

LogMeIn: sign up for free account. Get annoyed at endless subscription offers. Install client on PC you wish to remote to.

 

Later on, sign into LogMeIn. If other PC is on, connect remotely.

yeah, i ues teamviewr runnign on a XP VM at my house, so I can connect to that and then to any of the other machines in the house ( Linux boxes, Laptops , etc )

can do it from work, from the pub on a teatherd tablet and on my phone ( although it's very small!! )
