elsiegee40 Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 We have a Samsung Sky+ HD box which has for the second time 'forgotten' all scheduled recordings. We noticed the same thing happen about this time last week. It recorded fine on Friday, but this evening X Factor didn't record... (I know it's got taste!) Further investigation shows all recorded programmes are still there, but all the scheduled programmes for recording have disappeared. We are completely mystified. I shall spend a fair amount of time setting all the recordings up again, but really don't want to have to do this every Saturday! Any ideas?
mdench Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 ring sky they will either do a software upgrade or replace the box. If the later be sure to watch all those programmes
cpjitservices Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Id give Sky a call see if they can resolve the problem, I have one of the black Sky+HD Boxes not sure of the make maybe Amstrad... and now and again it looses everything in the TV Guide & Planner.... only unplugging and plugging back in rectifies it but it does make me twitch a bit as it gives me a dreaded amber light for 10 minutes after unplug.... box is only 11 months old and got a call from Sky last week asking if I wanted to take out insurance as my box is no longer under warranty...... Wish I had now.!
plexer Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 If it's only 11 months old then it's still under guaruntee? Ben
elsiegee40 Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 Our box is older unfortunately. It's just weird that it's done this on two Saturdays in a row
Danp Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Software update needed, pull mains, hold down backup button on box and plug power back in, keep button held down until on screen says its updating. Sorted my problems.
