Unexpected exception was thrown.

Message: An error occurred while making the HTTP request to https://www.schoolcomms.com/SyncGatewaySvc240812/SyncGateway.svc. This could be due to the fact that the server certificate is not configured properly with HTTP.SYS in the HTTPS case. This could also be caused by a mismatch of the security binding between the client and the server.

How long ago did you last run the import routine? Have you upgraded to the SIMS Autumn 2012 yet. There was something in the Schoolcomms October newsletter about having to enable the Schoolcomms plugin if you wanted to continue to access SIMS from the SIMS Focus menu after the Autumn upgrade - doesn't sound like it's that though.

Think I might be inclined to speak to the Schoolcomms helpdesk.

Was that in the sclog.log file? If you send that file over, from %appdata%\schoolcomms\ then they'll analyse it. Or you'll notice something.

If you retry it might just work.

I had a problem making a connection on Thursday too, but it just sat there saying it was trying to update data but failed, then we had a system shutdown, so i couldn't pursue it further, but my log was clean.

It works fine this morning though.
