Microsoft Volume Licensing website downloads

I am trying to download

 

SQL Server Enterprise 2012 with Service Pack 1 64bit English ISO

 

However it seems to either not download at all, or download at speeds that even a 56k modem would laugh at.

 

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm having this a lot recently with the Volume Licensing site

I has it trying to download Office 2010 not to long ago, are you getting to the VLSC through IE or another browser? the speed was significantly faster using IE for me, as in 15kb via chrome, 800kb via IE

Are you using their downloader, it's more reliable.

I've always used Firefox and just downloaded in browser rather than using their Download Manager (never trust 'em on websites). Can't say I've ever seen any problems.
