[ms office - 2007] Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 Deployment Confix.xml

Good Morning All,

 

I am having problems deploying office 2007 via group policy on windows server 2003 R2, I am having problems with the config.xml file, I have created a network installation point for it on the server like \\servername\office12 but I have found the msi and config.xml in the enterprise.ww. I have opened the confix.xml and having problems what to put, anyways entered the product key and saved it, logged onto the server, opened group policy and created a new installation point pointing to the office 2007 package, then it deploys on the machine but it doesnt use the config.xml file??

 

Can someone help me, or tell me what to do.

I think the config.xml needs to be in the same folder as setup.exe (i.e. the root of the install files) even when using the MSI to deploy (which isn't supported after 2007, FYI).
