MHUK Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Morning all, We rolled out Win 7 this year and on the whole everything works fine. However there are a couple of users who lose their home areas at seemingly random times. I think it happens to users who are logged on for a prolonged period of time throughout the day. At logon, users can access their home drive fine however later on in the day, occasionally access is lost, however other network drives / e-mail etc remain working as normal. The only way to fix the issue is to reboot the machine - log off and on does not fix. This occurs with multiple users and whichever machine is at fault, it doesn't really leave anything to go on. There is nothing related to the issue in the event logs. These are the message prompts I've seen displayed: H:\ is not accessible. This file is currently not available for use on this computer. H:\ is not accessible. Access is denied. Any help would be appreciated.
LeMarchand Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Could it be the way the folder is mapped? I had a problem getting home folders mapped at all and this solved it. 1
