Oracle SGD and Windows 7 Remote logon

Hi all

We run SGD to allow staff to connect to their desktops at work while I'm still working around licencing, finance and other issues and hit a snag.

We upgraded to Windows 7 this summer, now when you logon through SGD you have to enter the NT Domain as well as your username/password otherwise it tried to logon locally to the machine. With XP, we never had to do this.

Am I missing something obvious or am I just going to have to update my help sheets and keep reminding everyone to put in the NT Domain name now?

Thanks

Not your problem, thanks for the answer! :)

Guess I'll just have to create a new sign and have to hand when people come and ask about it..... (although means it still won't be solved if I do get a terminal server to run instead)

A somewhat bodged and backwards way of looking at it that might work is setting the default domain on the actual workstation you're connecting to.

In my experience this is how it's worked on earlier OS XP/2003 if the 'default domain' was set to the domain not the local computer then logging in without the ntdomain worked fine (or logging in with username@domain)

Windows7/2008/etc kind of changes that a bit but it might work if you set the default domain on the destination machine but I'm not sure (we add the domain to our apps for this reason to avoid chance!)

Yeah I thought of that and had hoped it would work (set the default domain in Group Policy) but it doesn't, for whatever reason whether it's the CLEO configuration of it or it just doesn't like it! Unless there's another way of setting the default domain?

It was a roll of the dice question really to see if I was doing something stupid. :)
