Weird issue with Serif

Hi, when using Serif MoviePlus X5 users cant seem to import a file with transparency (.PNG for example) from their work folder. It shows up in Serif like this;

 

It works fine importing it from a USB drive, I've been told it was working fine before summer. We have virtualised the File Server since then so am thinking it could be something to do with that...

 

Anyone encountered this? Any ideas? Thanks!
