[ipad] Adhoc Classroom network - ipads and macbook osx 10.6

Hi,

 

I've been searching for ideas to suit our situation and are hoping someone can help.

 

I have access to 18 iPads for use in the classroom.

I have a macbook running osx 10.6.

The iPads are currently not to be connected to the existing school network or internet.

 

I can create an adhoc network from the macbook and have an ipad connect, however I want to do the following somehow:

 

iPads can can connect to and read and write from a shared folder on my macbook.

Also, for me to somehow push out new apps via wifi to the iPads.

 

Is this possible with an adhoc network such as this?
