I've spent the last couple of days tracking down the ruckus access points across the site, and after much frustration and failure at finding the last two sent an email out to staff offering chocolate to anyone who could find the AP's broadcasting 'Treasure' and 'Goldmine' as their SSID's

 

It only took 10 minutes to find both. Now I'm wondering what other jobs I can get done by offering prizes!

I offer chocolate to every class that manages to return all its library books at the end of term (I'm also the Librarian) It's very effective. The whole class ensures the last couple of children remember and searches their classroom and I don't have to nag. Edited October 17, 2012 by elsiegee40

When I was in charge of IT, I offered to take 1 IT lesson per year group, was up to the teacher as to which lesson, and the children could play constructive games such as education city and such like. Kids enjoyed it, teacher welcomed the break, and it was all good!

Did you add those names just so you could identify each AP easily, or, do you have some cool SSID names?

@Edu-IT - sadly the former - the 'real' SSID's are quite tame! I did think that I could rename all of them so that if you stood in a particular position in the school all the SSID's could spell a sentence!
