british_government Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Hi All, I have seen quite a few people discussing the casio laser-LED projectors which we have been looking at for some time now. I wondered if anybody had experience of mounting them on existing SMS projector beams and if this unislide is compatible with the casio short throw's? SMS Projector ShortThrow UniSlide Black I am 90% sure it is compatible but having somebody say "yes I have done this" would be great Sam
HMCTech Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 If I recall correctly I was only able to get two of the three screws in using a similar mount to that. But it was not that particular mount, it was similar with the four extendable plates. Had more success with a 1150023 - SAHARA - UNIVERSAL PLATE, SAHARA MOUNTS | CPC. The screws on the Casio's are also a lot thinner than on epson, sanyo projectors so you might need some washers. 1
elsiegee40 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Many of us who've done this have applied a drill and/or a piece of chipboard to an existing mount. 1
british_government Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 Thanks Both, our existing mounts are too small and chipbaord was rejected as a proposal. Our building is only 3 years old so everything has to look perfect and pretty! Alex, I will look into that mount thanks, obviously the price is very appealing in comparison!
elsiegee40 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Our building is only 3 years old so everything has to look perfect and pretty! They tart up quite nicely with a lick of emulsion paint... scrounge off the caretaker so it matches the school
bossman Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 (edited) @british_government: We have nearly all Casio projectors and we use these mounts: CASIO Laser LED Projector Pro... : RA Technology, Projector mounts and cages Choose which one you will require, the company will deal with you directly. We use the older type Casio projectors (Casio XJ-A series of projectors) as these have the better zoom and we have never had to move our connecting poles. Hope this helps Edited October 15, 2012 by bossman 1
IrritableTech Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 We've mounted a handful of the casio short throws on the Sahara short throw wall bracket. Like this... 1150030 Sahara Short Throw Proj Wall Bracket We did have some trouble though, if memory serves one of the screw points on the projector is almost in the centre. This makes it harder for any universal bracket. 1
Oaktech Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Quite frankly if you want it to actually fit, and i mean REALLY fit, you need to get a unicol system. Although you may need amputation surgery to pay for it. 1
